At the core of living healthy, I truly believe that making yourself your number one priority is the key to breakthroughs in your personal growth. I was honoured to be a part of Pantene’s biggest breakthrough in Shampoo Innovation, and inspire women to fuel their strong by encouraging them to incorporate fitness as part of their morning routines. It’s a great way to create a ritual, hold yourself accountable and fuel your strong. How do you fuel your strong?

Here’s a unique series of exercises that are all about conditioning your body, from the inside out, starting with the core! The series utilizes a stability ball to work the stabilizer muscles for a strong, powerful and functional centre.

 

1) Plank to Downdog *option to reach

2) Single Leg Lunge with Hinged Reach

3) Pike + Tuck

4) Side Plank with Rotation

Each move in this series can be done 8 – 12 times for a core strengthening workout to fuel your strong.

Breathing Exercise: We take approximately 20,000 breaths per day, that’s on average 12-20 per minute. But we tend to take short, quick, shallow breaths, which is known as over breathing. Diaphragmatic breathing rapidly and effectively calms you down. The diaphragm, is a dome shaped muscle at the bottom of the rib cage, we use it 24/7 but it often goes unnoticed.

Breath into the abdomen, and try this deep, slow, rhythmic, technique through the nose to start your day in a calm, clear, energized way.

Start by closing your eyes.

Inhale 4cts, hold 4 counts, exhale 6cts

Do this for one minute.

Before you open your eyes set a positive intention for the day.
