B R E A T H E | Grateful for the daily reminder to relax my body and clear my mind. “Be still, and bring attention to your breath.” Seems simple to remember to breathe, but taking a moment every day to do some deep breathing for me helps with my mindfulness, reduces stress, calms the body and my mind.

The Apple Watch Breathe App is simple to use, it defaults to 1MIN, but by scrolling the crown, you can adjust the length up to 5MIN. Once the session starts the graphics gradually expand, representing the slow inhale, and contract to represent the exhale. There is also haptic feedback (taps on your wrist) so that you can close your eyes and relax. I have mine set to do 4-1MIN sessions per day. The app also monitors your heart rate and provides a summary of the breathing sessions. I love data, so this part is fascinating to me!

Breath, such a simple tool. Pro Tip: inhale through the nose and exhale through pursed lips.
